No visa is required for citizens of countries of the European Union or from Norway, Switzerland, Iceland or Liechtenstein (non-EU Schengen Agreement signatories).

Spain has an agreement for visa exceptions with: Antigua and Barbuda, Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Barbados, Bermuda, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Macau, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mauritius, Mexico, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, United States, Uruguay, Vatican City, Venezuela. Citizens from these countries do not need a visa to enter and stay in Spain up to 90 days. Certain conditions on the passport (such as expiry date and biometric data) may apply. Please check with a Spanish consulate in your country of residence or home country.

Citizens of most other countries need a short-stay visa, valid also to travel within other Schengen countries. Please contact the Spanish Consulate or Embassy nearest to your city of residence. It is recommended to do this at least two months before the conference start date, since visa applications can take quite some time.
